EVOLVED CONCEPT by Alessio Belloni

What would happen if an object crossed a black hole? Everything depends on the point of view.
If we looked from a certain angle, a decomposition would take place; if the angle would be another, there would be no loss of information. The same would happen if we would talk about Time and Information.
In this new work by Alessio Belloni, the Present meets the Past in a three-dimensional game that retains its holographic value even in its version humbly flat.
The black and white photo represents the modernity, a gravitational eye that refers to the entropy of perceptive stimuli. The red column, instead, is the Past, enhanced by spatial proximity.
Let us remember Orwell: History is something immutable? I would say no: memory is a culturally determined fact and the modernity rests on layers and layers of lost existences, both in the material and in the spiritual meaning.
Quoting rock group Muse and their song "Starlight", contained in the album "Black Holes and Revelations", we should talk about "souls who die to feel alive ” or, better, to allow the growth of future people.
Yet, the work also seems to suggest that, as we run towards tomorrow, there would be a loss of freedom, directly proportional to our speed.
It's interesting, as the black eye has depth, even when not looked at using a special viewer. The effect is given by the texture of holes that go shrinking towards the central abyss slot. I find it fascinating that science speaks of "event horizon".
In Art the theme of the "Black Hole" is controversial, even for those without knowledge of physics. Think about it, the outline rational of the "hole" is a shape cut out in the black canvases of Mark Rothko.
This is precisely what we see - literally - in this work by Belloni: the progressive fragmentation and digestion of something that once owned the glory of the whole.
